Die südkoreanische Pianistin Hanna Choi entdeckte bereits in frühester Kindheit ihre tiefe Liebe und Leidenschaft für das Klavierspiel. Als eine der besten Absolventinnen der Sookmyung University in ihrer Heimatstadt Seoul schloss sie ihr Bachelor-Studium mit Auszeichnung ab. Im Anschluss vertiefte sie ihr Studium in Deutschland an der Staatlichen Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart in der Klasse von Prof. Friedemann Rieger, wo sie das Künstlerische Diplom, den Masterabschluss (M.A.) sowie das Solistenexamen erwarb. Während ihres Studiums wurde sie zudem durch ein Stipendium der Rotary-Stiftung gefördert.
Ihr außergewöhnliches musikalisches Talent wurde durch eine Vielzahl internationaler Preise und Auszeichnungen gewürdigt: so erhielt sie 2004 den Preis beim Korea-Deutschland Brahms Wettbewerb, 2008 den 1. Preis beim 6. Concorso Musicale Internazionale „Paul Harris“ in Verbania (Italien), 2009 den 1. Preis beim 5. Internationalen Klavierwettbewerb „Johann Baptist Cramer“ in St. Georgen (Deutschland) sowie 2010 den 3. Preis beim 17. Concorso Internazionale Vocale e Strumentale „ANEMOS“ in Rom. 2011 wurde sie mit dem 3. Preis bei der 16. Korea Piano Duo Association Competition in Seoul ausgezeichnet.
Die künstlerische Entwicklung Hannas wurde zusätzlich durch Meisterkurse bei renommierten Pianisten wie Pierre Réach, Kirill Gerstein, Volker Banfield und Dmitri Bashkirov gefördert.
Von 2012 bis 2014 unterrichtete Hanna Choi als Lehrbeauftragte für Korrepetition (Klarinette) an der Universität Kangnam, einer Partnerinstitution der German School of Music Weimar, sowie als Lehrkraft für Klavier an der Sookmyung Women’s University in Korea. Ihre rege Konzerttätigkeit erstreckt sich regelmäßig über Europa und Südkorea; sie tritt als Solistin, Kammermusikerin und Korrepetitorin auf. Herausragende Engagements waren die Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen, bei denen ihr Auftritt live im Radio WDR 5 übertragen wurde.
Ihr Solorezital sowie ihre Kammermusikauftritte führten sie zu internationalen Festivals und Konzertreihen in Europa und Korea – insgesamt über 200 Konzerte. Sie ist sowohl als Solistin als auch als Korrepetitorin in Europa und Korea äußerst aktiv. In Korea konzertierte sie unter anderem im renommierten Seoul Arts Center, der Kumho Art Hall sowie im Sejong Center, wo Kritiker ihre „technische Brillanz und tief verfeinerte Musikalität“ lobten. Als Mitglied der French Music Association trat sie dort regelmäßig auf. Darüber hinaus ist sie in verschiedenen europäischen Ländern bei Festivals und Konzertreihen zu hören und bereichert diese mit ihrer Musik.

Pianist Hanna Choi has earned admiration both in her native Korea and abroad for her artistry and tireless devotion to music. A graduate of Sookmyung Women’s University, she continued her studies in Germany at the prestigious Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart, where she completed the Künstlerische Ausbildung, Master Degree(M.A), and the elite Solistenexamen with highest honors
—laying the foundation of her career with remarkable distinction.
Her artistry has been recognized with numerous prizes: in Korea at the Korea-Germany Brahms Association Competition and the Korea Piano Duo Association Competition, and internationally with first prizes at Italy’s Concorso Musicale Internazionale “Paul Harris” and Germany’s Johann Baptist Cramer International Piano Competition, as well as a third prize at the Anemos Art Competition in Rome.
Beyond competitions, Hanna Choi has built a concert career rich in both breadth and substance. Selected as an outstanding graduate performer at Sookmyung, she appeared in the Music Journal’s New Year Concert at the Sejong Chamber Hall, where critics praised her “technical brilliance and deeply refined music.”
As a soloist, she has appeared with the Stuttgart University Orchestra to warm acclaim, while her chamber music and duet performances have carried her to prestigious series and Ruhr festival Recklinghausen etc. totaling more than 200 concerts throughout Europe and Korea.
Her musical horizons have been further shaped through masterclasses with Pierre Réach, Kirill Gerstein, Volker Banfield, and Dmitri Bashkirov, among others, and participation in international academies in Weimar, Schloss Filseck, and Lower Saxony.
Hanna presented acclaimed solo recitals at the Kumho Art Hall and Seoul Arts Center, and joined the French Music Association as a regular performer at the Sejong Center. Her concert activity continues to extend internationally across Europe, including Germany , Poland and Switzerland.
Alongside performing, she has taught at Sookmyung Women’s University, Kangnam University which collaborates with the University of Music Weimar and Anyang Arts High School.
Today, she continues an active career, moving between Korea and Germany—bridging two musical worlds with a voice at once profound, expressive, and unmistakably her own.

탁월한 연주력과 끊임없는 연주활동을 통해 매력적인 피아노의 음색을 전달하는 피아니스트 최한나는 숙명여자대학교 음악대학을 졸업한 후 도독하여 독일 슈투트가르트 국립음대(Staatliche Hochschule fur Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart)에서 전문연주자과정(Kunstlerische Ausbildung) 및 석사(Master) 그리고 최고연주자과정(Solistenexamen)을 최고점수로 졸업함으로 피아니스트로서의 단단한 기반을 마련하였다.
국내에서 한-독 브람스협회 콩쿨, 한국피아노두오협회 콩쿨 입상을 비롯해, 독일 유학 중에는 이탈리아 Verbania의 Concorso Musicale Internazionale 'Paul-Harris' 국제콩쿨 1위, 독일 Internationale Klavierwettbewerb 'Johann Baptist Cramer' 국제피아노콩쿨 1위 그리고 이탈리아 Rome에서의 'Anemos art' 국제 콩쿨에 3위에 입상함으로써 국제적으로도 그 실력을 인정받았다.
콩쿨뿐만 아니라 국내에서 영산그레이스홀 주최 목요초청음악회에서 독주회 개최, 점자악보출판 후원 음악회 등 다수의 연주를 가졌으며 숙명여대 음대 졸업시 실기우수자로 선정되어 제17회 음악저널 주최 신춘음악회에 출연하여 세종문화회관 소극장에서 가진 독주무대는 탄탄한 기량에 완성도 높은 음악을 만들었다는 호평을 받았다.
Stuttgart 시청 독주회, 악기박물관 독주회, Kunstmuseum 독주회, Piano Fischer 주최 독주회, Robert-Bosch 병원 초청 독주회, Olivier Messian 탄생 100주년 기념음악회, 쇼팽 탄생 200주년 기념음악회, 독일 St. Georgen에서의 콩쿨 입상자 연주회, Rotary-Stiftung Stuttgart 선정 장학생으로서 연주무대를 가졌으며 슈투트가르트 음대 오케스트라와의 정기연주회 협연으로 호평을 받은 바 있다. 그 외에도 Stuttgart, Berlin. Reutlingen,Düsseldorf, Konstanz, Schwabisch Hall, Weimar 등 독일 등지에서 100회 이상 독주 및 협연, 실내악 등 다양한 영역에서 폭넓은 음악적 기량을 선보였다.
Pierre Reach, Kirill Gerstein, Volker Banfield, Dimitri Baschikirov의 마스터클래스에 참가하였으며 독일 니더작센주에서 열린 Sommerakademie fur Kammermusik, Weimar와 Schloss Filseck에서의 마스터클래스에도 참가 및 연주하여 보다 높은 수준의 음악에 대한 열정을 보이고 있는 피아니스트 최한나는 성두영, 김금희, 한희철, 김혜림, Friedemann Rieger를 사사하였고 귀국 후 금호아트홀과 예술의 전당 리사이틀홀에서 독주회를 가졌으며 프랑스음악연구회 회원으로서 세종문화회관 등에서 정기연주회에 출연하였다. 또한 독일, 스위스 등 유럽에서도 꾸준히 연주 활동을 하고 있는 피아니스트 최한나는 숙명여대, 강남대 , 안양예고 강사를 역임하고 현재 독일과 한국을 오가며 활동 중이다.
